Main lesson
Today, I would like you to focus on our new sound 'oy'. Watch the letters and sound video lesson below. I will attach some word cards to read below and a phoneme spotter. With the phoneme spotter, see if you can spot any word with the 'oy' sound in...can you read the words you have found?
Can you think of any words with the 'oy' sound in?
Have a go at writing the words:
toy
boy
enjoy
loyal
royal
Can you use these words in a sentence?
Maths
Starter
Practise reciting your number bonds to 10...use your fingers to help you e.g. show all your fingers. Put 1 down...how many do you have left? 9! So 1 + 9 = 10
I will upload a video to support your learning.
0 + 10 = 10
1 + 9 = 10
2 + 8 = 10
3 + 7 = 10
4 + 6 = 10
5 + 5 = 10
6 + 4 = 10
7 + 3 = 10
8 + 2 = 10
9 + 1 = 10
10 + 0 = 10
Main lesson
Watch todays maths lesson on making patterns with 2D and 3D shapes below and then have a go at answering the question sheet. I have also added some true or false challenges for you to try!
English - Grammar and Punctuation
We will be using classroom secrets grammar and punctuation powerpoints to enable your child to complete the worksheet. The worksheet is based on creating fluency with the skill! Todays focus is identifying whether the word is a noun or verb. Children should be able to class a word as a noun or a verb depending on whether it is the name of an
object, a type of animal, person or place - nouns
or an action - verbs.
Curriculum lesson - Mindfulness
Our last activity of the week is a mindfulness colouring sheet for you to enjoy! Well done on a successful week of home learning! Have a great weekend!
