WELLBEING

We are so excited...our mile-track installation is well under and the construction team are doing a great job! It goes without saying that health and safety of our pupils is our priority and so certain parts of the playgrounds and field will be fenced off at different times. Please support us in reminding your children how to keep safe around construction areas. Thank you for your understanding and support...we will keep you updated as work progresses!

Parent Views...

We are very keen for our parents to share their views with us.  Whether it is a comment or response to something we have asked you - we always like to hear your thoughts.  In order for you to make your voice heard, we have now introduced a 'Parent Views Box'. Please visit the school entrance, via the school reception if you wish to post your comments.  This term we are asking parents if they are in favour of a cashless system in school. Thank-you - we value your feedback.

Should we go 'cashless'?

Reading

"I recommend The Twits by Roald Dahl, because if you want to trick a person, it can give you ideas." By Elliot in Year 2.

Mothers Day Assembly

You should now be in receipt of the flier containing your Mother’s Day tickets for our morning assembly on Friday 20th March; please keep the flier safe as admittance is by ticket only - as this assembly is always extremely popular no other children will be permitted.  Following the assembly you are welcome to go along to your child's class to join in decorating a fairy cake! We look forward to seeing you all.

Reminder for Parents - Health Education forum...

Just a little reminder that our Health Education Forum will take place on Thursday 19th March at 5:30pm.  As advised in the letter sent out last week, from September 2020, all primary age children will be taught Relationships and Health Education (which the Government have decided to make as a compulsory subject).  Please look out for the letter for further information and return the slip should you wish to attend, thank-you for your support.

Year 5 Parent Workshop CANCELLED...

Apologies but we are having to cancel our Year 5 Parent Workshop "Reading Focus", scheduled for 17th March.  A new date will be confirmed shortly - thank-you.

Crestwood Park Magazine...

Mrs Redfern would like to remind you that the deadline for receiving material for the next exciting edition of our school magazine is Wednesday 25th March...please note that the deadline for ordering a copy will be Tuesday 31st March to allow Mrs Redfern time to collate sufficient copies for distribution on Friday 3rd April...thank-you in advance for your participation - we really are quite excited as to what will feature in this edition!

Cracking day of Easter fun & Spring Disco on 26th March...

We will be holding a non-uniform day on the 26th March but instead of cash donations we would love it if children could bring in a chocolate egg OR a can to support our Black Country Food Bank "can" challenge - further details to follow! Just a reminder that instead of an Easter Bonnet parade, children will decorate an egg in school and these will be displayed at our Easter Service on the 3rd April. ALSO, please look out for details on our forthcoming Spring Disco, which will be taking place in the school hall on Thursday 26th March after school.

Easter-Fun Day with Mr Barnett...

With the egg-citement of Easter approaching, Mr Barnett is working away on ideas for his Easter Fun-Day on Monday 6th April 2020.  Whatever Mr B puts together it will be a cracking day so please do keep your eyes peeled for details...

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children’s best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
