The Great Get Together
Crestwood Park will be joining The Great Get Together on Friday 23rd June when we will be hosting a community event in memory of Jo Cox. Our idea is that everyone gets together for a picnic tea on our school field. Bring your blanket and food and get together with others to reiterate that now famous comment from Jo Cox that "We have more in common than that which divides us". On this day we will also be running a Bottle Tombola and also a 'Crestwood Cup' stall to raise much needed funds for our school.
Crestwood Cups
We look forward to receiving your filled cups in time for the draw. We appreciate your participation in this fund raiser. I'm sure the children will get a lot of enjoyment if they win one from the tombola running during The Great Get Together on 23rd. If you find you have lots of items, you are more than welcome to pick up extra cups from the school office. All cups need to be returned by the morning of our non uniform day on 19th June.
Every child who brings a filled cup in will be entered into a draw to win a prize to say Thank-you!
KS2 After School Clubs
Look out KS2, next week, for details of the sports clubs on offer this half term. Please remember we have altered the way we collect the payments for these clubs (mentioned on last weeks Newsletter). But just to remind you; the cost is £2.50 per club payable up front at the time of sending in your reply slip. You will appreciate this will save a lot of time which has previously been wasted when collecting the money.
Mufti Day thanks!
Many thanks for your wonderful support with the non uniform day. Everyone has been so generous with their bottle donations we should have an extensive array on the bottle tombola planned for Friday 23rd June. As always the funds raised will go into School fund to provide those extra luxuries for our children.
Girls Football Team Success
Congratulations to our girls football team on their recent game at Milking Bank Primary. Not only did they do battle with the wet and miserable British weather but they beat the opposition with a 3-0 victory. All of the girls played brilliantly, our superstars of the week!
Art Club - There's Only One You
You will have received a letter from Miss Shipley inviting all children to participate in this Art club. They will design a pebble to reflect themselves. The pebbles will then be displayed within a path across the school to show each and every child currently at Crestwood Park.
If your child is taking part, please ensure you have made a note of the specific date for your child's class group. If you need reminding of these dates, they will be on our Diary Dates each week.
