Muscular Dystrophy UK Fun Run

A huge 'THANKYOU' to all those who supported the Fun Run on Thursday. It was an incredible success with over half of our children taking part. Many more stayed to watch and the atmosphere was fantastic- it really was wonderful to see the Crestwood Park family out in force! Huge thanks to Parent Voice who planned and organised the event- you did a fantastic job! Also, massive thanks to 'Batman' who very generously donated his entire fee for the event to the charity! Well done to the Mums and Dads who supported their children (especially Mr Tonks who ran a total of 28 laps (4 miles!) and donated money for each lap he completed! Finally, thank you to our wonderful children for giving their time and energy to such a worthwhile cause.

We were overwhelmed with your generosity; every single penny raised will be passed on to Muscular Dystrophy UK. We are incredibly pleased to say that at this point in time, we are able to donate an amazing grand total of £431.28!! Well done everyone, and THANKYOU!

Classroom in the Clouds Run

On Saturday 16th June there will be a Family Sponsored Walk held at Baggeridge Country Park. Starting at 2pm, all are welcome to join in this worth while event. Sponsor forms are available in the school office, just pop in and see one of the office staff. All children participating must be accompanied by an adult. Classroom in the Clouds is an initiative supported by Crestwood Park Primary whereby all Dudley school children are working together to improve education in Nepal. Please contact us for further information and look out for posters at school and a leaflet in your child's bag.

Father's Day Card Making

Following comments that we should celebrate Fathers' Day. This year, children will be making Fathers' Day cards in class and we thought that we would like to give some families an opportunity to make cards together. Therefore on Thursday 14th June we shall be holding a card making session for some classes from 9:00 until 10:00am and further details will be sent home shortly with information on how to book for this event. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate pre-school siblings at this session.

National Child Measurement Programme

As you are aware, there has been a national Measurement Programme, conducted by School Health, happening each year for some time. The results we have just received are based on 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17 and show that we are above the national average in Reception however by the time they reach Year 6, all of the initiatives around healthy eating and exercise are definitely paying off as children are broadly in line with the National Average and we are pleased that our school is bucking the national trend. Here at Crestwood Park much importance is placed on the physical and emotional health of our staff and children and we would like to thank you - our parents - for your support with all that we try to do. From the results received, it's working!

And finally....... SATs!

Next week sees our Year 6 children sitting their SATs, We hope you will join us in wishing them all the very best. We do not intend to wish them "Good Luck" as they are all brilliant and actually don't need luck!
