Year Six Reports

The date given initially for the distribution of Year Six reports has had to be amended due to the alteration of the date that the SATs results are returned to school. DFE have moved the date forward by a week, so we are aiming that you will be able to collect your child's reports after school on Monday 16th , where staff will be available to discuss them and explain the scoring system of SATs.

Water Bottles

Please remember to send a water bottle filled only with water, every day, with your child. The bottle should be marked clearly with your child's name, as we often have the same bottle brought in! During this lovely warm weather it is easy for children to get dehydrated, and whilst we have water fountains in school its sensible to have a full bottle in class.

Lots and Lots of Crestwood Park Family Fun......

Sports Day at the Dell Stadium

On Monday, letters will be sent home giving full details of our proposed Sports Day activities at The Dell Stadium on Wednesday 20th June. Please make sure, that if you are not given a letter, all available bags, boxes and pockets are frisked so that you don't miss out on this important event.

Great Get Together Picnic

Last year we all took part in the Great Get Together Picnic afternoon. It was such an enjoyable, relaxing time we are doing the same this year.

It is a community event in memory of Jo Cox. Our idea is that everyone gets together for a picnic tea on our school field. Bring your blanket and food and get together with others to reiterate that now famous comment from Jo Cox that "We have more in common than that which divides us". On this day we will also be running a Bottle Tombola and a 'Crestwood Cup' stall to raise much needed funds for our school.

Crestwood Cups and Bottle Tombola

Look out for the Crestwood cups that will be finding their way home with your children over the next week or so. Inside the cup will be a letter explaining what to do with the cup, but as last year, please fill them with sweets or little gifts and send back in to school to the classroom. These will be raffled off at the Great Get Together Picnic afternoon. Also If you can donate a bottle for the bottle tombola - it would be greatly appreciated.

Summer Fun Week

As last years fun week was such a resounding success, we have decided to run it again this year. Each afternoon, children can take part in craft activities, various games and play on the bouncy castle. After an hour of fun, they will be given a 'picnic in a box' which they can enjoy before they go home. The cost of this is just £6 - a great price ,we think, for the oodles of fun on offer! If you wish to purchase a photo booth photo of your child then this is an additional £1. Just remember to write your email address on the reply slip.

Look out for a letter with booking form being sent out tonight with your child. Please check their bags and return as soon as possible to secure a place.

World Cup 2018 Promotion

Our lovely Kitchen staff are running a fun competition to celebrate the upcoming World Cup. Children will have a chance to win a spot prize if they find a winning sticker at lunch time. As this won't include children bringing their packed lunch from home, we would like to encourage all our children to take a school lunch and try something different.

Lost Visitor Lanyards

We have held several Open Mornings at school recently, whereby our parents sign in and wear our yellow visitor lanyards, for security purposes. However, we seem to have lost most of these lanyards and wonder if anyone has inadvertently taken one home - perhaps as a souvenir of their visit....? If you have, could you kindly return it to school, either directly to the office or with your child. We would be very grateful as replacements are a cost to our school.

Book Exchange Cupboard

Just a friendly reminder that we have a book cupboard feeling very unloved as no one has visited it lately. We have had lots more books; for both children and adults kindly donated, so worth taking a look. We only ask for a 50p donation when you take a book, and obviously if you can donate one that would be appreciated.

Scientific Calculator found by quiet area.....

.....do you know of anyone who may have lost it....it is missing it's home. Pop into the office to claim it.
