Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter!

Well what another fabulous end to our week- the weather was glorious for our Get Together Picnic! It is so lovely to be able to host these events and the turn out was amazing. Thank you to all of our families who set up picnics and visited our stalls. Our staff have enjoyed being able to sell you a whole range of items and a special thanks must go to Mrs Akthar and her team for her 'Taste of Asia Stall'. I'm sure you'll agree she has a wonderful culinary talent and she is helping to pass this onto our pupils!

The Year 6 Enterprise was a real success today too with children visiting the 'activity stands' throughout the day. The children had the opportunity to 'Beat the Goalie', 'Shoot an Arrow' and partake in circus skills to name just a few. The year 6 pupils ran each activity with expertise and coped so well in the soaring temperatures. Throwing a wet sponge at another pupil went down particularly well! It has been a busy week for the year 6's as many of them were out visiting their Secondary schools this week too. Looking ahead to next week, their agenda remains as busy. Please see below for details of the Key Stage 2 performances coming soon!

On Thursday of this week, the children spent time in their new classrooms with their new teachers. Everyone seemed to be so settled and all the children seem genuinely excited to be taking their next steps in their Crestwood Park journey. It was lovely to see lots of parents in school on Thursday for our Open Evening, and if you attended, we hope that you enjoyed looking at some of your child's work and having the opportunity to meet with your child's teacher for September.

Parent Voice Meeting - 15th July

Fitness Friday with Mr Barnett

Those Summer holidays aren't too far away now. Who wants to get fit?!...

Don't forget that Mr Barnett holds a fitness session on Friday mornings, just after children are dropped off.

We have a really good range of equipment for parents and family friends to use and is a lovely way to have a catch-up with other parents, whilst burning a few calories at the same time! No need to book, just turn up!

Next session will be - Friday 15th July

This will be out last session until September! We will update you more in the new academic year!

Are you beating the street?

Let us know how you are getting on! It would be great to hear how well you are doing and how many points you have so far!

Mr Powell's TTS Rockstar Champion

Well done to Jack-James who was last week's champion with 880 correct answers. This week it's a huge well done to Annalise with 1753 correct answers in a week! Look out for Mr Powell who will be presenting you with your medals.

And finally,

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
