Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter!

We've ended the term with two fabulous Easter assemblies- thankyou to all the parents and families who attended. A special 'well done' goes to Mara in Year 6, for her beautiful Easter story narration, that accompanied children's super singing!

Typically, we've seen lots of sunshine today which has been rather frustrating after the high winds and chilly temperatures yesterday for our Sports Day. We've had a few suggestions from parents regarding other times of the year for Sports Day, but the truth is, with the lovely British weather, we can't ever guarantee the right conditions!

We really do appreciate it when parents talk to us about suggestions or ask questions- we don't mind having to deal with complaints either! What is more frustrating for us are situations where parents complain about something via social media. This doesn't give us a chance to talk to the unhappy parent or try to find a solution. We pride ourselves on being available to talk to and that we are approachable- please talk to us if you're not happy about something, and please don't use social media to air your grievances- thankyou- we appreciate your support with this.

Next half term is a short one and there is plenty going on- please refer to the school calendar to check you have all the right information.

A one-off addition to our calendar is the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on Friday 20th May. We will be giving out more details about activities on this day, but as a heads up, we will be asking children to come dressed up in red, white and blue, for this very special celebration.

Well done to all of our lucky winners! We hope you enjoy your chocolate treats!

Thank you to everyone who brought raffles tickets - we have raised an amazing £188.00 for our school fund which we use  to help subsidise trips and for giving our children all the extra treats and rewards over the year.

Fingers crossed for Cash for Schools result!

Thank you to every who collected tokens for Cash for Schools!

Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Every little helps...

One of our parents have kindly donate some brand new girls' Clarks shoes. We have the above style in sizes 1 & 1.5 available, in a variety of widths.

If you think your child would benefit from a new pair of school shoes then please pop in to the office.

Looking after our community.. more Crestwood Acts of Kindness!

Our Year 6's have been busy again this week delivering chocolate treats to our neighbours. We have had some super responses from local residents and we are incredibly proud of our children for carrying out yet another act of kindness.

A special thanks to Mrs Jones who helped put together our chocolate deliveries!

And finally,

We hope that you have a super Easter and a good break (if you are lucky enough to be having one!) We hope the suns shines a little and you all manage to have some quality family time, at some point.

Happy Easter! - with love from everyone here at Crestwood Park.
