School Life App Instructions
Following feedback from parents, it has become obvious that some are you are not getting the parent targeted information from our school app. If you have downloaded the app and just chosen our school it takes you to the public website only. To access information, homework pages, photo's etc that are for parents only you need to click on the 'Home' icon in the top right hand corner of the app, tap to log in to a different account and enter the user details you have been given. If you are unsure of these details, pop to the school office. The app will now log you in and you can see all areas plus receive important 'push' messages which will be replacing our text message service when the current subscription runs out.
A member of the School Life staff (Mike Geer) will be available during Parents' Evening should you have any problems, queries or questions about the App.
School Fund Update
Thank you one and all for your support of our school fundraising during 2016/17. We thought you would be interested to know - in general terms - what your donations have been spent on. Firstly, you should have noticed the new gym equipment in our school hall which was purchased with our Sport for Schools sponsor money. Due to your generosity, we were able to secure over £1200 worth of equipment. Other good causes have also benefitted i.e. Children in Need (£397.90), Shelter (£70) and Red Nose Day (109.36). We spent 622.80 last year purchasing the Key Stage 2 fruit each day which has been a huge success in helping create 'healthy eaters'. Year 6 leavers books cost £225.00 and Year 5 are presented with their first school tie at a cost of £168.00. Visiting theatres and animal man visits have come in at £383.83. Presents for last year's Santa visits were £200.00 and we subsidised school visits by just over £250.00. There are also the small items that make so much difference here in school such as Crème Eggs at Easter (£92.00), Mothers' Day flowers (£37.50) End of term house rewards (51.00) Stunning Starts and Fabulous Finishes (£106.33) and Tooth Fairy envelopes (£23.00). Finally a contribution was made from school fund towards the purchase of our new outdoor benches.
While some of these amounts seem quite insignificant, we can assure you that each amount is well spent and much appreciated by the children in our school. Thank you again for your continued support.
Many apologies from Mrs 'O' regarding the confusion over the Open Day letter. To confirm..... Open Day is TUESDAY 17th. On your letter the 17th was Tuesday at the top and Wednesday at the bottom (senior moment!) but please be assured that our open day is on Tuesday 17th.
