Use the video below to practise your phonics sounds!

Main lesson

Today, I would like you to focus on our new sound 'o_e'. This sound is a split digraph - watch the video below to find out what these are! Watch the letters and sound video lesson below. I will attach some word cards to read below and a phoneme spotter sheet to use. When using the phoneme spotter ask your child to spot any word with the 'o_e' sound in...can they read these words and tell you what they mean? Can you think of any words with the 'o_e' sound in?

Have a go at writing the words:

phone

bone

prone

strobe

stone

Can you use these words in a sentence?

Main lesson

Watch todays maths lesson on subtraction - crossing ten (counting back) and then have a go at answering the worksheet. I have also added a true or false challenge sheet to try!

English - Grammar and Punctuation

We will be using classroom secrets grammar and punctuation powerpoints to enable your child to complete the worksheet. The worksheet is based on recognising and using the conjunction 'or'.

  • This step focuses on using the word 'or' and how it can be used in a sentence to give additional information indicating two (or more) different options, e.g. Would you like red or green?
  • Children should be able to use 'or' in a sentence and decide when it has been correctly used.

Curriculum lesson - Music Lesson!

Learn the difference between the beat and rhythm using the video below... you will need to get 4 plates out of the kitchen cupboard for this activity! Practice keeping and finding the beat, as well as composing different rhythmic patterns!
