English - Grammar and Punctuation
We will be using classroom secrets grammar and punctuation powerpoints to enable your child to complete the worksheet. The worksheet is based on recognising and using the conjunction 'but'.
This step focuses on using ‘but’ in a sentence and how it can be used to indicate contradictory information.
Now that the children can recognise the word ‘but’ in a sentence they can begin to start using the word in their sentences.
Curriculum lesson - Geography
Today, we are going to continue looking at the continent of Antarctica and compare it to our local area, Dudley. Take a look at some footage of Antartica below. What does the weather look like? Write a couple of sentences and draw a picture to describe what you can see and how it would feel to be there. What types of animals would you see here?
Now, take a look at the weather outside – write a simple sentence/picture to describe what you can see. What animals would you see here?
Take a look at both your sentences and pictures. Discuss with an adult how these 2 places are different and similar.

'Under the Same Sky' bedtime story – Cbeebies Actor Tom Hardy reads a bedtime story about two friends who find a new way to keep in touch despite being far apart. If your child is finding it hard being apart from friends and family, they may find this story and its message comforting.
