Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, this week has been another jam packed one!

Across school, we have had assessments taking place, school visits and a very special assembly.

Years 4 and 5 enjoyed their trip to the Rep theatre in Birmingham. Staff were so proud of how the children conducted themselves, both on the journey there and back, and during the show.

Reception have visited Little Owl farm today. Highlights were watching a  sheep race and having a tractor ride!

This morning saw years 1-5 celebrating our Father Figures. We had a full audience and the children all performed brilliantly.

Year 6 returned this afternoon from their residential at Pioneer, having embraced and enjoyed all of the many activities on offer.

Thanks as always go to our staff who go above and beyond to ensure the success of such events.

SAFE

This term we are focusing on our SAFE SPARK.

We are looking for children who are being safe - this may be within the classroom, on the playground or on the trips that all children will be going on this half term.

Children can even suggest ways of being SAFE and let their teachers know.

Throughout the term, we will be setting challenges for the children to demonstrate how SAFE they can be!

Who will earn their SAFE Sparks badge by the end of the term?!

House Points

The TIGERS are still in the lead, but close behind are the RHINOS.

Complete some impressive work next week and your team could be in with a chance of winning!

Pastoral Update

We hope you are all well, time to get your sunscreen ready as it looks like we're in for some sunshine.

This week we are sharing an article on the benefits of co-regulation.  Managing your child's behaviour when they are experiencing "BIG" feelings can be extremely challenging and can take it toll on our emotions. Take a look at this short article, hopefully it will support you to manage those tricky moments. Always try to remember these are temporary.

Remember  to keep yourselves hydrated this weekend, have a lovely time, look after each other, lots of love The Pastoral Team xxx

Finally...

Have a fantastic weekend in the sun!

I would also like to wish all of our father figures a very Happy Father's Day for Sunday.

Please take a look at the newsletter titled "What's Going On In Our Community" for information regarding events in the local area!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
