Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, we have made it!

The term has ended in the sunshine and with lots to celebrate.

We have said farewell to our year 6 pupils, who have truly been such wonderful role models this year and grown into individuals our Crestwood Park Family can be proud of.

Infact, all our pupils should be very proud of how far they have come. This week, as I have visited classrooms, I have witnessed them recalling all the knowledge and special memories from the year.

On Wednesday morning, they stepped into their new classrooms for September, and it was clear that they are all excited for what lies ahead.

In our final newsletter of the year, we have taken the opportunity to celebrate even more achievements and to also provide some future diary dates.

We will also send some updates out during the holiday via the sch.life app, so please keep checking it if you do not always receive the notifications!

Goodbye Year 6

We said goodbye to a wonderful group of children today - our year 6.

They have had a fabulous last day - with a few tears (mainly Miss Williams).

We wish them all the very best as they move onto secondary school.

We know they will be fabulous.

We shall miss you all.

Year 1 Request

✨ A SPECIAL MENTION! ✨

A massive Well Done to Emily who got the Mayors Award at the WeLoveCarers awards night.

This is a truly outstanding achievement and a wonderful recognition of your compassion, dedication and the positive difference you make. You should be incredibly proud of yourself.

🎸🎹 Dudley Performing Arts 🎹🎸

We are working with Dudley Performing Arts (DPA) to provide music lessons in school. Dudley Performing Arts offer high-quality instrumental tuition from specialist music teachers. Group lessons are available for just £10 per week and individual lessons for £14 per week. Lessons are offered on a wide range of instruments making it easy for every child to find something they will enjoy.

Learning an instrument is not only enjoyable and rewarding, but it also supports children's wellbeing by building confidence, resilience and creativity. Music lessons can enhance concentration and listening skills all of which can have a positive impact on achievement across the wider curriculum. To find out more and enrol for lessons starting in September, visit the Dudley Performing Arts website:  https://www.dudley.gov.uk/things-to-do/dudley-performing-arts/information-for-parents-and-young-people/music-lessons-in-schools/

Mrs Cadman's News

Thank you to all the children who have taken part in the 'Let's Get Writing' challenges throughout the year.

The children who have entered into Challenge 3 - Flowers and Challenge 4 - Under the Sea, have been put into a raffle.

The winners were Sophie and Eric.

A special mention to Janelle who has read all the Daisy books in our library.  I will be purchasing some more ready for the new year! Well done Janelle.

You know how passionate we are about reading and writing - the difference it can make is phenomenal.

Thank you for your support - please continue to read and write with your child over the Summer holidays!

And grab yourself a book too!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
