Welcome to our Newsletter

Welcome to this week's newsletter!

Every school week always has lots of highlights, and certainly a highlight of this week has to be the Reception Class Assembly, which took place this morning. The children provided an insight into the day in the life of a Reception child. Wow! We were so impressed and, like they told us, it is the start of their very special journey at Crestwood Park, where they will learn so much and make friendships that could last a lifetime.

Indeed, this newsletter is filled with some highlights that await us in the next few weeks, so, like I always say.... keep scrolling!

SAFE

This term we are focusing on our SAFE SPARK.

We are looking for children who are being safe - this may be within the classroom, on the playground or on the trips that all children will be going on this half term.

Children can even suggest ways of being SAFE and let their teachers know.

Throughout the term, we will be setting challenges for the children to demonstrate how SAFE they can be!

Who will earn their SAFE Sparks badge by the end of the term?!

House Points

The TIGERS are still in the lead, but close behind are the RHINOS.

Complete some impressive work next week and your team could be in with a chance of winning!

Pastoral Update

We hope you are all ok and have had a good week?

As a parent we always want to protect our children and help them to feel safe.  Sometimes things are out of our control, life can throw all kinds of things at us.  Children pick up on our emotions and in turn this affects theirs.  Sometimes we need to take one day at a time to deal with tricky situations and have gentle conversations with our children to support them. Take a look at this weeks article which shares some top tips on what to say to our children when life has taken a turn.  If you scroll towards the bottom of the article it gives suggested phrases to say when we find it difficult to know the right answer.

Most importantly remember difficult times will pass, they are temporary, don't be afraid to lean on others a little for support. We hope you find this useful.

As always we are here to support you, please call or drop us and email spriest@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Have a lovely weekend, take care of each other, lots of love The Pastoral Team xxxπŸ’š

Finally...

I think everyone in school this week has certainly earned some relaxation time.

Enjoy everyone... see you next week!

Please take a look at the newsletter titled "What's Going On In Our Community" for information regarding events in the local area!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
