Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, it has been another very hot week in school.

The children have coped remarkably well and we have managed to create some cooler areas around school and outside on our playground.

Year 6 Enterprise took place on Monday and a fantastic amount was raised for charity, and the weather certainly did not spoil the fun!

It is with regret that we have had to cancel some events over the last two weeks, but please know the decisions have never been made lightly and always take into account the health and safety of our children.

It is looking like the temperatures will be remaining high, therefore we will continue to allow PE kits to be worn to school for next week.

However, as the temperatures don't yet look to be exceeding 30 degrees, pick up time will return to the usual 3.20pm from Monday.

I must mention this morning's production of 'School Daze' as the stand out highlight of the week.

Year 6 children performed brilliantly and they were accompanied by some wonderful singing from years 3,4 and 5.

School Daze 2026!

Wow - what a show!

The children put on a fabulous performance today of 'School Daze'.

We had children and grandparents from 2085 reflecting on what school was like in 2026.

The Year 6 children were fabulous in their roles; we had pupils, teachers, parents and Sergeant Majors.  The acting was fantastic and the singing, supported by Years 3,4 and 5 was superb!

Thank you to all the families who came to watch and for your understanding when we had to cancel Thursday night's performance.

I'm sure you can agree that the children did amazingly well.

Year 6 Enterprise

Year 6 had a fabulous start to the week, when they invited all pupils to visit their Enterprise stalls.

There was Football Fun with the FC Ballers, Basketball Fun with the 4 Ballers, Lucky Pick with The Hearts n Hearts, Target practise with The Bucket Rivals and Netball Fun with The Shooting Stars.  It was a great day, with a great atmosphere and a chance for the Year 6 pupils to learn some valuable business lessons.

Year 6 would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came and spent money at their stalls - we raised £560!

The children have voted and would like to donate the money to Ravens Rescue.

A SPECIAL MENTION!

We want to share Violet-Rose's achievement. She took park in the come and play concert at Mary Stevens Park.
She was the only one from Crestwood Park Primary in the brass and wind instruments.
She played really well and we are very proud of her and the progress she made.
Well Done Violet-Rose! 🎺🩷

We are almost at the end of the summer term, we hope you have managed to keep cool this week.

This is a time of change for our children both for those moving on and those moving up into a new year group.  We support all of our children with this transition but have attached a clip which you may find useful.

Transitions happen all of the time, whether that is getting up in a morning, brushing teeth or leaving the house etc.  Take a look at the top tips for ways to support your child with different transitions.  We hope you find this useful.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
