We are sure that many of you enjoyed the festivities of Halloween recently and this week, Rosie has chosen a book with a spookier theme to it! The Creakers follows the main character Lucy as she discovers something terrible has happened! "Lucy Dungston has woken up to find all the grown-ups in her town have disappeared!"

Following on from Rosie's reading above, Rosie would like to set you a writing challenge! 

Rosie would like you to continue to write the opening of the story The CREAKERS. You could rewrite the opening in your own words (if you know the story already) or, alternatively, you could rewrite the story with your own ideas! 

Completed writing examples can be brought to Mr Timmington or handed to Rosie Deakin. Please ensure that your name is written on your entry and also your class. Rosie's writing competition will close on Friday 19th November.
