Sponsored Event

You will all remember what a fabulous day the children had during our Healthy Mind and Body event a couple of weeks ago. The children were sponsored for the events covered and it's now time to finish collecting their sponsorship and send it into school. We have already received quite a few sponsor forms but would remind you that the last day for sending in sponsor money is Wednesday 14th February. Please support your child (and our school) by collecting money and sending it to us! We are hoping to buy more outdoor furniture with any money raised, beyond the cost of the sports coaches we had for that day.

WOW Badges

Children should have received their WOW badge for January today. We have tried our best to make sure siblings match! Children receive a badge for walking to school at least once a week for the whole month. There is also the option to 'Park and Stride' if parents live some distance from school. However, this does not mean parking on Lapwood Avenue and walking up the path into school as it would seem some children are classing this as Park and Stride. To qualify children must walk for at least 5 minutes i.e. from Tesco Express on Bromley Lane or from Bromley Local Nisa in the other direction. Please help us to make sure that children are deserving of these badges and not just telling staff they have walked when in fact they've been driven to the school gate. We want to make it fair for all children.

Parents' Evenings

You will by now have received your appointment for Parents' Evening next week on whichever day you have chosen to come along. If your appointment slip has not made it home, please ask your child's class teacher so that you don't miss this important opportunity to get the low down on what your children have been studying so far this year.

Book Fair

This term's book fair will be for two days only due to the half term break. It arrives on Thursday 15th February and will be open during Parents' Evening i.e. from 3:30 until 8:00pm as well as after school on Friday from 3:15pm. This term, we will be issuing a raffle ticket to anyone who makes a purchase. The raffle will be drawn on the Monday after haft term with book prizes being awarded to the lucky winners! Please do come along and support our book fair as the more books we sell - the more free books we can choose for our libraries.

World Book Day

World Book Day is on 1st March this year and our School Council will soon be meeting to make suggestions as to what the children would like to do in honour of World Book Day. As soon as decisions are made we will let you know so please watch this space!
