Clubs during first week of term

You will have noticed from the 'Diary Dates' above that clubs during the first week of term are very different. All Sports Clubs are changing and letters will be sent home during the first week to let you know what will be on offer for the next half term. There will be no Stay and Learn or Library Sessions in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 or Year 4 during this week either. In fact the only clubs that will run during the first week of term will be Year 1 and 2 Cookery on Wednesday and Running Club on Thursday. Lapwood Lambs however will run as normal.

The March of the Head Lice!

A couple of weeks ago we reported that we were experiencing problems with nits and headlice in Key Stage Two. However, since then they have been on the move and have now managed to march into Key Stage One. Parents from Reception right through to Year 6 have been reporting sightings! Please check your child's hair and if necessary treat. The upcoming Easter break is the ideal opportunity to make sure that all heads are free from all invaders before they return to school. Remember - there is no shame in getting headlice, it is shameful however to do nothing about it. Please help us to get rid of this problem once and for all!

Easter Egg Raffle

Thank you to everyone who donated eggs for our grand raffle, especially a grandma of a reception child who donated our huge first prize it was so generous. If you won this basket of goodies, could you please return the basket as we have been told that this could be an annual donation. Our school fund has benefited by over £150 from raffle ticket sales so thanks also to everyone who supported this.

Easter Holidays

You are already aware that we break up today for the Easter break. We would like to wish all our children (and their families) a very happy and restful Easter. Do enjoy all that chocolate!

Children should return to school on Monday 24th April and please remember that the bell for the start of school is at 8:55am. Please make sure your children are in their classroom from 8:45am to 8:55am at the very latest. We still have quite a few children who are arriving late to school every day.

HAPPY EASTER, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
