Limited Clubs Next Week and the Remainder of the Term.

You will notice from the Diary Dates above that there are no clubs on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday next week, including no afternoon reading sessions. If you carry on reading this newsletter you will find an article about our Summer Fun activities and see that we will be very busy getting ready each day for these events. Normal service will resume the following week and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but hope you can agree that it will be worth it. Also there will be no more running clubs this term , due to lots of events on Thursdays!

Sports Day at The Dell

Our Sports Day this week at The Dell Stadium was a huge success. The children have not stopped talking about it! Thanks to our parents who all took their children to the Stadium, to everyone who stayed and cheered them on and to staff, parents and friends who loaned us their gazebos to keep children in the shade.

After the event, children walked back to school very sensibly, grateful thanks also to Dingle Primary for the loan of their hi viz vests which enhanced our own supply and made sure all our children were kept safe. The children really enjoy running on a 'proper' track rather than the school field and we hope to be able to do this again in the future. Thank you again for your support.

Summer Fun Week

Have you returned your forms for children to join in with our Summer Fun Week? Tuesday til Thursday sees fun after school each day with bouncy castles, games, craft and a picnic bag made by the lovely ladies in our school kitchen. Such Fun!! If you've not sent yours, don't worry just send it in by the end of the day on Monday. We hope to see all children on one of these days.

Raffle Tickets

Just a reminder to return all unsold raffle tickets. For those that have been sold , the draw will take place next Friday (30th June) so please return all tickets stubs and money so they can be included in the draw. We still have a few tickets left, if you would like any more, please pop in the office. Parents Voice have done an amazing job to get such an fantastic range of prizes so it is well worth making sure you are in the draw.

Reminder of proposed INSET days for 2017/18

We are aware that parents sometimes need to book annual leave etc for INSET DAYS so our proposed closures for the next academic year are as follows: Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September 2017 - Monday 2nd January 2018 - Thursday 3rd May 2018 (Local Elections TBC) - Friday 20th July 2018.

The Local Election date in May 2018 could be subject to change but this is the proposed date at present. We also thought that by breaking up on 19th July instead of 20th might give parents an opportunity to book flights just that couple of days earlier which can make such a saving to holiday costs.
