Pantomime Theatre Trip

We will be leaving school at 12:45pm for our trip to see the Wizard of Oz at Brierley Hill Civic Hall. Lunch will be early on that day and 'hot dinners' will consist of pizza or fish served with chips in a takeaway box. This will enable us to make sure all children have eaten before we leave. A little reminder that children will need to be collected from the theatre at approximately 4:30pm.

Lapwood Lambs

Next Monday sees the one year anniversary of the re-launched stay and play group we now call Lapwood Lambs. On Monday, they will be hosting a party to celebrate this achievement and all are welcome to come along and join in the fun and games.

Classrooms in the Clouds Day

You will by now have received a letter regarding the fundraising day next Friday, 26th January. Classrooms in the Clouds are a charity who support children's education in the remote villages of Nepal and we try to support their work. The plans for next Friday are that children came come in their own clothes for a donation of 50p. All we ask is that the clothes are based around the colours of the Nepalese flag which is red, white and blue. Bookmarks will be on sale during the afternoon and also after school at just 50p. Finally, during morning break, there will be pre booked pizza slices on sale for just 50p.

Lunch on this day, will not be more pizza and the lovely ladies in our school kitchen will be offering chicken nuggets or fish with chips instead of the usual pizza.

SPARKS read on to find out more......

As you may be aware, we re-launched our 'school rules' in January. SPARKS is a way to remember the 6 ways we expect children to behave in school, at all times. The letters stand for

S-Smart, P-Polite, A-Aware, R-Respectful, K-Kind, S-Safe, and we are focusing on one per month.

This month we are focusing on SMART and children who have been recognised for this will be celebrated on the display in the hall and on a newsletter towards the end of the month.

Please support your child with this important aspect of school life. We expect children to look smart at all times (examples of correct school uniform can be found on our website). This not only helps children to develop pride in their appearance, but also impacts positively on the way they carry out their school work. Look smart, be smart!
