We had so many lovely complimentary yellow slips after parents evenings, Staff are really appreciative when parents say such wonderful things. We also had many positive comments on Facebook following our 'Lock Down' drill. We will always listen to concerns and act upon them, but is also so lovely when we hear compliments. Thank you so much!
After School Clubs for next half term
As there are only four (and a bit) weeks before we break up for Easter, there will be no change of clubs for next half term. You will see from the diary dates above that KS1 Gymnastics is on Tuesday, KS2 Gymnastics on Wednesday and KS2 Multi Sports together with Running Club on Thursday. Both the Gymnastic and Multi Sports clubs are owed a couple of sessions due to school football matches and parents' evenings so for those already enrolled in these clubs there is no charge for the next half term. There are a few spare places though and if anyone would like to join in there are forms available in the school office.
Year 2 Cookery Club
Letters will be winging their way home during the first week back and Year 2 Cookery Club will be starting the following week. Much depends on how many wish to take part i.e. how many sessions per group, how many groups will be involved and when the sessions will take place. If your child requests a place you will be sent the dates of their sessions as soon as we know how many we are catering for.
World Book Day
This year, World Book Day is on Thursday 1st March. Following an emergency meeting of our School Council, it was decided that children can come to school dressed as a character from their favourite book and bring with them a story, object or the book on this day. If your child is not interested in 'dress up' children could just wear some bright clothes in celebration of the day but should also bring an object from their favourite book or the book itself. The day will also involve poetry reciting and end with a session where children can share some of these poems with one another.
Half term holiday!
Just in case you have missed the date, we break up today (Friday 16th) for the Spring Half Term. We are hoping that the weather will be kind but at least if it snows, you don't have to trudge through it to get to school! We wish everyone a restful half term and will see you all, refreshed and rejuvenated at 8:55am on Monday 26th February. Happy Hols Everyone!
