Parent Voice and School Council are launching our 'Healthy breaktime' Policy!
What does it mean?
School Council heard about other schools that receive fruit and vegetables for all their children. Along with help from Mrs Stowe and Mrs Cooper, they found out that they could also receive these healthy snacks for children in KS2. (Children in KS1 already receive this.) Class reps spoke to the children they represent and across KS2, the over-whelming message was that we too would like to have healthy break times. Mrs Stowe met with our Parent Voice group who in turn agreed that it was a great idea. The Governors have now agreed the policy and we are launching it on May 27th.
You can view the Policy in the 'Policy and Procedures' section of our website.
Walking the 'mile'
In order to keep fit and healthy, we all have a go at running a mile as part of our weekly PE lessons. Also, at the end of lunchtime on a Friday, the whole school walk around our wonderful playgrounds and field for 10 minutes.
Mayor and Mayoress visit
Thankyou to the Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley who visited us in May. Despite the damp weather, children in years 1-6 thoroughly enjoyed joining the Mayor and Mayoress for a mile run around our playgrounds.
More photographs can be viewed on the TV in the school foyer.
